Spring 08: Mineral Makeup

It seems like beauty has gone mineral, but did you know this makeup trend has been around for about 30 years? Even without the 'mineral' classifications, the main ingredients such as mica, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide have been in your favorite cosmetics for even longer than three decades. The difference with 'mineral makeup' is it doesn't have the added fragrances, oils and binders of the others, therefore making it usually a sure fit for sensitive skin.

I've always shied away from these powders because I felt they looked thick on my skin and pointed out every pore on my face.
