Bath-and-Body-Works-Aromatherapy-Pillow-Mist.jpgWe have to admit, we’ve never really thought sleep mists worked. Well, until we tried Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Lavender Chamomile Sleep Pillow Mist, that is.

The first time we were out within 15 minutes, we figured it must be a fluke. The second time, we assumed we were just really tired. But when this sleep mist worked a third time, we knew we were on to something big!

While lavender normally gives us a headache outside of a spa environment, we love that it’s tempered with chamomile here to keep it from being too overpowering. Both are soothing, calming and, amazingly, lull you to sleep within just 15 minutes. Really, this product is a true miracle worker!

We do recommend spritzing lightly, as a little goes a long way with this mist. No need to overpower your pillows!

Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Lavender Chamomile Sleep Pillow Mist retails for $10 at bathandbodyworks.com.
Bold-Lips-Image.jpgIf you’re looking for a way to get noticed, why not take a cue from the red carpet and try bold lips? Celebs like Taylor Swift, Dita von Teese and Nicki Minaj have all stepped out recently in various takes on the look — some admittedly more crazy than others!

This look is all about the lips, so be sure the rest of your makeup doesn’t overpower your powerful pout. Keep things simple with a bit of mascara and flawless skin — and then let your lips shine! We’ve rounded up a few lipsticks that will really make your pout stand out.

Heidi-Klum-Shine.jpg
For some reason, the news this past week that Heidi Klum would be launching her own signature scent took us a little by surprise. We can’t really put on finger on why, but maybe it’s simply because we didn’t see it coming.

Previously working with Victoria’s Secret on a cosmetic line, and with New Balance for a fashion forward loungewear line, Ms. Klum is clearly no stranger to working with big named companies to launch products with her signature on it.

She will be working for Coty, Inc. (they own beauty brands such as Chloe, Chopard, Marc Jacobs and tons of other celeb fragrance lines), and launching her scent - named Heidi Klum Shine - in September of this year.

From the press release, Heidi says, “I am thrilled to be partnering with Coty on my new fragrance. Working for a long time on developing a signature scent and watching it finally come to life is so exciting. I never thought my nose would recover from sniffing so many scent combinations, but it is all worth it. I want my fragrance to be truly special and head-turning so that people ask the woman who’s wearing it ‘What are you wearing? You smell delicious’.”

Though we don’t normally get too excited for star-endorsed and developed scents, we’re kind of curious what Shine will smell like - sexy and sultry, perhaps? We look forward to seeing…err, smelling, in September.

Do you get excited about celebrity-developed scents, or do you place your trust in your designer favorites?
Fresh-Creme-Ancienne-Eye-Cream.jpgWe normally like our eye creams on the thick, creamy side. So when we first unscrewed the top of Fresh Creme Ancienne Eye Cream and saw a consistency much like pure shea butter, we must admit we were both intrigued and petrified. Would this eye cream really work if it were so unlike the ones we’d come to know and love?

In a word, yes.

In a mere matter of weeks, the area around our eyes was noticeably lighter and had decreased in puffiness significantly. Our under-eye area feels so hydrated, thanks to ingredients like meadowfoam seed oil (to nourish the skin), jojoba seed oil (to restore suppleness) and moisturizing Vitamin E. You’ll even find anti-inflammatory-enhancing beeswax, soothing chamomile oil, toning lemon peel oil and calming rosewater within the formula.

But what we really love about it? The inspiration behind this luxurious eye cream! The first cream of the 2nd century A.D. inspired the creators of Fresh to come up with it. It’s hand-blended in a European monastery to preserve the fragile ingredients and its rich history. How cool is that?

We will caution you that Creme Ancienne doesn’t come cheap … it retails for $95. But if you’re looking to hydrate the under-eye area like never before, this is the eye cream that can’t be beat!

Fresh Creme Ancienne Eye Cream is available at fresh.com.

Sephora-by-OPI.jpg
With the onset of every new season (or at least the thought of the onset), we get an itching to update our lacquer drawer. With Pantone releasing its colors of the season, including coral rose, honeysuckle and russet, just the sound of those shades fill us with delight and visions of sweet and rich hues sported on our nails.

And since we always have the hardest time deciding which polishes to invest in, why not invest in a little bit of everything? Enter the Sephora by OPI Eighteen Piece Mini Nail Colour Set. Eighteen? Yes ma’am! Our favorite shades we are most excited to try are Access 24/7 (a rich pink), Caliente Coral (the name speaks for itself), and Dating the Drummer (a rich brown.)

For just under $50, you get 18 mini bottles of 0.12 ounces (the regular bottle size is 0.5 ounces), which we love for throwing in our toiletry or makeup bags for impulse painting, or necessary touch-ups. $48, sephora.com
