For music’s biggest night, Adele went for a big eye look — thanks to Michael Ashton, who is the makeup artist mastermind behind this glamorous GRAMMY style.
The key to Adele’s look was her deep, dark cat eye liner, achieved with Maybelline Studio Gel Liner in Black. But as any beauty junkie knows the liner is only one piece to a perfect cat eye. Equally important are the contrasting and contouring shadows used, Michael opted for Lancôme Color Design Infinité 24H Eye Shadow in Continuous Creme and Lancôme Color Design 5 Shadow & Liner Palette in Coral Crush to add just the right depth to the look. And no bold red carpet eye look is complete without mascara, in this case Michael relied on Lancôme Hypnôse Star Mascara in Noir Midnight.
Adele’s lips may have let her eyes do all the talking for her, but it wasn’t to go completely unnoticed. Michael used Armani Lip Maestro in Number 500: Blush as a base coat, lined with MyFace Lip Liner in Nude, and finished with a glossy topcoat of Sisley Phyto Lip Star Lip Gloss in White Diamond to give Adele’s mouth an almost unnoticeable, totally natural and classic look.
