H20+-Bliss-Foaming-Face-Masks.jpgRecently we’ve come across more than one mask with some pretty intense foaming action. We’re sensing a trend—and it’s one we’re totally loving! Check out our two favorites.

H20+ Aquafirm Weekly Active Foam Mask
If your skin is really dehydrated, reach for this self-foaming mask, formulated with skin-firming marine microspheres, sea nutrient barrier and brown sea kelp. To apply, cleanse and exfoliate your skin and then massage into the skin, leaving on for about five minutes. When you rinse off, you’ll be amazed at how much softer and firmer your face looks and feels!

Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask
Before we came across this mask, we didn’t know great skin could be ours in just five minutes. As with the H20+ version, cleanse your skin and apply a few pumps of this onto your face. Let it work its foaming magic (with the help of Fluid 02 technology and Vitamin C), rinse off and voila: unbelievably clear and radiant skin, guaranteed.

zoe-saldana-katie-holmes-vma-08281011.jpgIn my humble opinion, the best part of any award show is the style. And as someone who loves the switch in seasons, I was psyched to see some great fall trends emerge at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. While some celebs opted for puckers that popped in wild shades, Zoe Saldana and Katie Holmes rocked the classic for fall, barely there nude lips.

The trick to nude lips is grabbing a nude (not just “tan”) lipcolor that is only one shade lighter at most than your normal lip color. If you’re trying to go even lighter you’ll need to heavily moisturize and try dabbing a tiny bit of tinted moisturizer on lips and especially around the outline of your mouth.
Rosebud-Perfume-Co-Three-Lavish-Layers-Of-Lip-Balm.jpgStrawberry! Rosebud! Minted Rose! If you’re looking for a set that contains all three of these delicious flavors, then look no further than the Rosebud Perfume Co. Three Lavish Layers of Lip Balm collection.

All three of the cult favorite balms come packaged in an adorable vintage-inspired vanity tin that, once the balms have been used up, can be converted into a storage tin! (We recommend putting something like cotton balls or Q-tips in it and displaying it on your vanity or bathroom windowsill.)

In any case, these balms are among our very favorites for their highly nourishing and moisturizing properties. Shea butter helps heal everything from eczema and rashes to burns and chapped skin. Vitamins A and E moisturize. They even contain natural UV protection! But our favorite part is the Aromol Trade Secret Blend, a complex of seven different essential oils from the Perfume House of Paris France that promote healing and lend antibacterial benefits.

While these balms are mainly used on the lips, you can really use them anywhere that’s a little rough and dry, from cracked elbows to peeling cuticles!

Oh, yeah, we almost forgot … they smell fantastic, too.

urban-decay-urban-brow.jpgI have struggled for years to find an eyebrow pencil that delivered softly drawn lines and just enough color. The Urban Decay Urbanbrow Precision-Tip Brow Tint makes my search and the sad state of my eyebrows a thing of the past. With a brush-like tip, this baby sweeps right over your arch, leaving featherlike, perfect strokes behind. My eyebrows look defined and natural and I’m smitten.

Because of the light way it applies, it takes a second or two to properly show up and you don’t want it to go on too dark. I was also happy that it survived a sweaty gym session and didn’t leave a smudge on my pillow at night — so, keep in mind that it requires a little makeup remover and light scrubbing to remove it.

The Urban Decay Urbanbrow Precision-Tip Brow Tint is available for $20 at
Essie-Lapis-Of-Luxury.jpgThe hot new nail polish shade around town—or maybe we should say the coolest? It’s most definitely Essie Lapis of Luxury.

As one might expect from the name, it’s a gorgeous shade of lapis blue. The color is rich and dark with even just one coat, though two bring it to a whole new level of amazing. The polish itself glides on with absolutely no trouble and is super, super glossy.

We’re currently rocking it on our toes and haven’t stopped getting compliments for days!
