Cleavage-Katy-Perry.jpg
We don’t know about you, but when we think of a celeb with gorgeous cleavage, it’s definitely Katy Perry. Though we can’t all have such curvaceous decollates, we can all have a healthy, glowing bosom, like the chanteuse! All you have to do is exfoliate…really.

Just like we scrub our faces to get radiant skin, why wouldn’t the same hold true for our chests? With Valentine’s Day this coming Monday, and sensual cut-to-there dresses probably in most sexy ladies’ wardrobe lineup for the romantic day, all you need is a gentle sugar scrub to be well on your way to all-eyes-on-you cleavage.

The skin on your decolletage is much thinner than on the rest of your body, so a sugar scrub is the way to go. They desolve easily in the shower, creating a built-in safety harness for over-scrubbing. Salt scrubs don’t dissipate as quickly, and can be way too abrasive for your upper chest area. A gentle scrubbing in the tub every day until the big day, followed by a rich body cream or lotion is the perfect formula for glowing skin.

We picked two of our favorite drugstore brands, and two of our favorite slightly pricier options (because sometimes, a girl just needs a splurge). Each gets the job done, and has its own unique makes-you-want-to-lick-it scent.

1. Neutrogena Sugar Body Scrub Fresh Citrus, $9.24, amazon.com
2. Bliss Blood Orange + White Pepper Sugar Scrub, $36, sephora.com
3. Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub, $6.99, ulta.com
4. Fresh Brown Sugar Body Polish, $38, sephora.com

Clinique-Bottom-Lash-Mascara.jpgWe thought we’d seen it all when it came to the world of mascara. But then Clinique went ahead and gave us something new to talk about, thanks to their brand-new Bottom Lash Mascara.

As if you hadn’t already guessed, this mascara is meant just for the bottom lashes. It comes in a tiny tube, and the brush is designed specifically for coating those pesky, miniature, hard-to-reach bottom lashes. It grips even the tiniest lashes and resists smearing, so you don’t have to worry about looking like you don’t know how to apply mascara properly.

We love the fact that a few swipes of this mascara makes our eyes come alive. No matter how much (or how little!) sleep we got the night before, our bottom lashes now make us look refreshed and well-rested. It comes in both brown and black, so you can control the dramatic impact you wish to have. (If you’re like us, you always, always go for black.)

To remove, simply splash warm water onto your lashes and press gently. Voila! The mascara comes right off!

Clinique Bottom Lash mascara retails for $10 at sephora.com.

Fresh-Sugar-Rose.jpg
We’ve been trying to test Fresh’s Sugar lip treatments for a while, but they were at such high demand in the beauty-testing world, that we were never able to receive samples. So, what did we do? We just went out, and bought the dang thing. It was well worth the $22.50 we shelled out for the Sugar Rosé shade

Before we start talking about the slick, smooth, perfect pouty pink, we want to talk about the construction of the case it comes in, because this, friends, is what makes this product stand out above other comparable lip goods.

How many times have you stored a lip balm/gloss (whether cheapo or pricey) in your purse, only to reach in at some point and realize that the top had come off, and your precious, beloved product was smeared all over everything in your bag? This has happened one too many times for our liking - especially in our beloved designer handbag with the cream silk lining with a bright red lipstick (it was not pretty.) Well, Fresh’s lip treatments have a top that screws shut. You have to twist the top off to use it, and no matter how many times we tested rubbing it against something to see if it would unscrew, it stayed shut, just like it should.

Now, on to the rest of Fresh’s Sugar Rosé’s winning qualities. One swipe, and our lips were super soft. Honestly, one swipe, though we prefered about 3 swipes on top and bottom to achieve the subtle shade of pink we were going for. It’s very sheer, so building color is easy without going overboard. The SPF 15 is wonderful for sunny days, and the lack of parabens, petroleum, sulfates other stuff we don’t want anywhere near our mouths, makes us feel comfortable about ingesting the product naturally.

Though the smell threw us off (it’s almost a lemongrass scent…we were expecting something fruity), it didn’t bother us too much once we got used to it. It’s just glossy enough to put a pretty sheen on our lips, and overall, there really isn’t a single thing (besides the non-fruit scent) that we would change. We finally understand what all the noise was about. Even at $22.50, we’d buy it again in a heartbeat. Sephora.com

Crabtree-&-Evelyn-Citron-Honey-Coriander-Collection.jpgIf you ask us, the combination of citron, honey and coriander is a complete and total win. So the latest collection from Crabtree & Evelyn—aptly named the Citron, Honey & Coriander collection—just makes us swoon!

The collection is inspired by aromatic ripening citron in the sun-drenched Mediterranean, honey gathered during a warm day and peppery coriander nurtured in sunny herb gardens. Doesn’t that just sound divine? These lush, fragrant notes combine with skin-softening shea butter and evening primrose oil to create product after product that’s fresh, nourishing and oh so delightful.

If you’re like us, you’ll be amazed at all of the products this collection has to offer. From a skin smoothing body scrub and refreshing body bar to a skin quenching body lotion and even a lip butter, there really is something for everyone to be had here.

And at the very least, you can feel like you’ve taken a trip to a far distant land. What’s so bad about that?

The Crabtree & Evelyn Citron, Honey & Coriander collection retails for $5-$60 at crabtree-evelyn.com.
