Philosophy-Image.jpgIn a bind over what to get your loved ones this holiday season? We have a great idea — why not shower everyone on your gift list with adorable gift sets from Philosophy? We honestly can’t pick a true favorite, because every single one is cuter than the next. But here are just a few of the many — there’s no other word for it, adorable! — gift sets they’re offering this holiday season.

Did you know that many of the images on Philosophy packaging are of the actual members of the company and their families? It gives such a special touch. Such is the case with Have a Cherry Christmas ($18), which includes the brand’s famed 3-in-1 and a high-flavor lip shine.

You’ll certainly feel all sorts of toasty warm with Warm and Toasty ($25) — a set of three absolutely delectable 3-in-1s including Hazelnut Espresso, Hot Buttered Rum and Double Rich Hot Cocoa.

Mmmm, marshmallows. They always make us think of S’mores — especially in this Melting Marshmallow set ($22). Delight in a 3-in-1, body lotion and high-flavor lip shine scented with the delicious aroma of gooey, melt-in-your-mouth marshmallows.

We’re dreaming of … waking up and finding this adorable set under the tree! (Yes, we know this post is about what to buy for others, but this one is especially for us.) The 3-piece I’m Dreaming Of… Set ($25) includes 3-in-1s scented with fruity white pear, white peach and white cranberry. Yum.

All gift sets are available at philosophy.com.

Recently, on a trip to Sally Beauty Supply with a friend, we stumbled across a shampoo and conditioner we remember using in the past with satisfactory results, and decided to pick up two 32-ounce bottles for a whopping… $6.49. Yes, we had stumbled across a BOGO. A beauty junkie like us simply cannot resist 64 ounces of hair product for under $7, especially when we’re used to paying at least four times as much!

Well, we’re here to tell you not to let the weird, horse-marked, cheap labeling distract you from the full-hair-to-be glory that awaits. After a few days of use, our hair is thicker, shinier and more texturized.

Reviews online point to signs of being drying, though we haven’t really noticed any drying in our locks. We were sure to leave the conditioner in for about three minutes, though, so maybe that’s the difference. And though we were a bit thrown by the human and animal directions on the bottles (this was traditionally used for horses, evidently), the super rich lather and the light, clean scent of the shampoo took away our skepticism.

After applying a little serum to our wet strands, we blow-dried our hair with a flat paddle brush, and had head-turning results (we promise, we’re pretty sure people’s heads were turning!…well, maybe.) This diamond in the rough is definitely worth a try. $6.49, sallybeauty.com
EOS-Lip-Balm-Medicated-Tangerine.jpgWant to bring a true citrusy delight to your wintry days? Then you’d better run right out and pick up the eos Medicated Tangerine Lip Balm Smooth Sphere.

For starters, we love the unique shape of this balm. The oversized sphere garners comments every time we pull it out of our bag — and, truth be told, we love when people notice our beauty products. We’ve honestly never seen another lip balm that looks like this, which means it immediately skyrocketed in our esteem.

Add to that the fact that the balm really and truly works … and we’ve got a gem on our hands! (Or lips, as the case may be.) It’s packed with antioxidants, zinc, shea butter, jojoba oil, and Vitamins C and E to moisturize, condition and nourish lips from morning until night. It even helps to prevent bacterial contamination, relieves cold sores and reduces chapping on your pretty little pout!

The delicious tangerine taste really leaves, well, a good taste in our mouths. And at under five bucks a pop? You can’t go wrong!

The eos Medicated Tangerine Lip Balm Smooth Sphere retails for $3.49 at drugstore.com.

Though the advertisement is not set to be released until January 2011 with CoverGirl’s new NatureLuxe line, we were given a sneak peak at the fresh line’s new flawless campaign featuring having-the-best-year-ever-starlet, Taylor Swift.

NatureLuxe, CoverGirl’s up-coming upscale sister line, was created as a nod to the affluent, environmentally and naturally-focused customer. Honestly, we think the delicate and lady-like Swift is a perfect fit! She looks - and yes, we’re about to get super cliche - easy, breezy and beautiful. (Duh!)

“I’m really excited for people to discover the new NatureLuxe line from COVERGIRL! The Silk Foundation and Gloss Balm are really light and fresh, they feel amazing on my skin,” she says in a release.

The two new products being released under the NatureLuxe line are formulated without fillers and chemicals, but rather with ingredients like jojoba oil, cucumber water, rosehip extract, mango and shea butter.

We bid cheers to Taylor, and are excited for this new line! (Don’t worry, as always, well provide a full report.)
