Ashley Greene Breaking Dawn Premiere.jpg
Brand Ambassador Ashley Greene was simply radiant on the red carpet at the Breaking Dawn premiere in L.A. this week. We got the scoop from makeup artist Vanessa Scali on how she created the look! All products are by mark.

Scali prepped Greene’s face with Primed for Perfection Face Primer before applying Got the Goods Multi-Benefit Foundation Lotion SPF 15 and Good Riddance Hook Up Concealer. Then she applied Bronze Pro Bronzing Powder under her cheekbones, temples and jaw line for a bit of contour and to warm up her face.

Scali applied Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Cheeky to Greene’s apples and layered with a touch of Light Show Illuminating Face Powder. “This combination softens the pigment of the cheek and creates a radiant, lit-from-within look,” Scali said.

Scali started by shading Greene’s eyes from lashline to eyebrow with I-Mark Metallics Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Goldiluxe. Then she used I-Mark Metallics Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Truffle on the outer corners and natural creases. She lined Greene’s eyes with No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner in Foxy Brown and finished with a few coats of Lash Act Build & Define Mascara in Blackest Black.

To finish the look, Scali gave Greene a natural lip with Make It Rich Lip Color Crayon in Naturally, layered with In A Whirl Marbleized Lip Gloss in Pink Souffle.

I have always found that lengthening mascara formulas worked better for my thin, barely-there lashes … that is until I tried out Maybelline’s Volum’ Express The Mega Plush. There are so many things I adore about this mascara that I don’t know quite where to begin. The formula is so light and airy, Maybelline calls it a gel-mousse, I call it perfect — it glides right on to my lashes and doesn’t clump along the way. The wand has a flexor tip that gives just a little to let the brush adequately get to every lash. And the end result is killer lashes that never quit, it’s so good in fact that sometimes I wear just the mascara nothing else (on my face, of course!). Oh and the clincher is that it’s not impossible to get off at the end of the day!

Deborah-Lippmann-Stripper-To-Go-Pads.jpgWant to remove your nail polish in an instant—no matter where you are or what you’re doing? Want to stop carrying around bottles of nail polish remover, especially if you want to take off your nail polish while you’re traveling? Enter Deborah Lippmann The Stripper To Go.

Each pad is formulated with just the right amount of nail polish remover to strip all 10 nails. Sound impossible? Well, we thought so, until we tried one and discovered that it’s really true! They even remove stubborn glitter and dark colors like it’s no big deal at all. Simply slip your finger into the mitt and let it do its work instantaneously!

Plus, they’re lavender scented—so none of that horrible polish remover smell is left behind.

Deborah Lippmann The Stripper To Go is $12 for a package of 6 at
Navy-Nail-Polish-Image.jpgEvery season, a selection of nail polish colors makes its way into the best, most popular, most used shades. And we’re counting them down for you this fall! Up this week: navy. It’s bold, it’s beautiful, it’s completely chic. Here are our favorite takes on the trend.

Dior Blue Label
Rich, dark, creamy, opaque … and it’s Dior. Really, what’s not to love about this combination?

NCLA Venice Beach Vixen
A bit paler than navy, but it’s still dark enough to count among our favorites for the season. Plus, we love that this electrifying shade is inspired by the cool vibe of Venice Beach.

NYC New York Color In A New York Minute Pier 17
We’ll forgive the longer-than-long name for the gorgeousness of this shade of navy, not to mention the quick-dry formula and the unbelievable price!

CND Midnight Sapphire
We were drawn to this one immediately, not only for the almost-black hue but for the perfect name. Not to mention the ease with which it applies.

Bushier, thicker eyebrows have been creeping their way on to “It Lists” for some time now, but perfectly arched and filled in brows are still my preference. Olivia Wilde’s eyebrows are the perfect complement to her beautiful, glowing face.

If you’re anything like me, you’ll need a good eyebrow pencil to make an arch this bold and striking. So, start with the inner edge of your brow and shade across to the outer edge. Use short, soft strokes — this way you can layer more on to intensify the look if you wish. There are lots of great eyebrow pencils out there, my personal favorite is the Laura Mercier Eye Brow Pencil (as it comes in the perfect fair blonde shade for me). Lastly, don’t forget to set the look with a brow gel, like Laura Mercier’s Eye Brow Gel.

Laura Mercier Eye Brow Pencil ($20) and Laura Mercier Eye Brow Gel ($20) are both available at
