Maybelline-Color-Show-Nail-Lacquer-Clear.jpgClear nail polish stops runs in your tights.
Okay, maybe everyone knows this one by now. But we think it deserves reiterating, simply because THIS. TRICK. WORKS. No matter how big or small the run, a dollop of clear nail polish (like Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer in Clear, $3.99 at will nip it in the bud. Guaranteed.

Johnson's-Baby-Powder.pngBaby powder gets rid of shoe odors.
So you absolutely love the pair of shoes you’ve been walking around in for two weeks, but there’s some bad news. They stink. And it’s not just noticeable to you. That’s where Johnson’s Baby Powder ($4 at comes in handy. A little sprinkle of it in your insoles and no one will be able to smell anything, least of all you.

Another baby product that does double duty? Johnson’s Baby Shampoo ($4.49 at! Just a little dab on the affected area and then a rigorous hand washing will get those stains right out. But if you don’t have any baby shampoo on hand, don’t fret—because dishwashing liquid works just as well! Think about it—it gets grease out of your dishes, why not your clothes?
While some celebs took home the coveted Moon Man award at the MTV Video Music Awards last week, it was Rashida Jones’ glowing makeup job that was worthy of accolade. Jamie Greenberg, mark’s celebrity makeup artist, explains how she achieved the soft, warm glow on Rashida, “I buffed mark Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes All Over Face Palette on her cheeks, and kissed them with mark Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Cheeky. I set the makeup by dusting her face and decollate with mark Bronze Pro Bronzing Powder in Bronze.”
La-Prairie-Ultra-Protection-Stick.jpgSummer may be over (cue the crying now), but it’s still hot, humid and sticky outside. And you know what that means? We’ll still be spending a whole lot of time on the beach or walking around outside! So, as a result, we need our trusty La Prairie Ultra Protection Stick by our side.

We love this stick because it protects anywhere you want to roll it! Lips, nose, ears, under the eyes, the eyelids, even the backs of your knees … you name it, you can rub it there! We especially love it as a lip balm, since it moisturizes and conditions the lips and lasts for hours—and, since we’re addicted to lip balm, this makes us happy!

Plus, it’s formulated with SPF 40. How great is that?

The Goody Finish Gel Cushion Brush is part of the Goody Start. Style. Finish. line of hair brushes. And it’s probably my favorite of the entire collection. Its bristles are both ionic to help minimize frizz and made of tourmaline to prevent static, and it also has a great, comfy gel cushion handle that makes holding it so effortless. This is my favorite brush for after I’ve blown my hair dry and just curled the ends under, as it smooths my fly-aways and locks in the shine and style.

by-Terry-Gelee-De-Rose.jpgFor total luxury in your skincare routine, look no further than by Terry Gelee de Rose. Now, this moisturizer has quite the extravagant price tag—$93, to be exact. Not the least expensive one around, but definitely not the most! (Think La Mer, Estee Lauder…) And on days (or weeks, or months, or years, or … okay, you get the point) when you need a little perk-up, this moisturizer definitely does the trick.

For starters, it smells like—you guessed it—roses. The scent is heady but not cloying or overpowering, so you can still wear scented body lotion or perfume and not feel like they’re competing for attention. But the scent of this moisturizer is just so divine—you’ll be hard-pressed to find another one that smells this fantastic!

And, of course, it makes skin look dewy, glowy and otherwise perfect. The combination of three roses detoxify, soothe and enhance the skin in a gel-cream texture that’s whipped, light and fluffy. Immediately upon application, skin is hydrated and nourished, even if dryness lurks underneath.

In short? We’re in love.
