Smith's-Vaseline-Lip-Balms.jpgGuess what? Your lips are in for a real treat. We like to think we’re connoisseurs of lip balm—we’ve tried them all, believe it or not. And, recently, these two really have us singing their praises. Oh, and the best part? They ring in under $6!

Smith’s Minted Rose Lip Balm
The latest in a long line of this brand’s cult favorites to switch to tube form, Minted Rose is utterly divine. It smells and tastes minty fresh and delicious, it leaves the prettiest glossy sheen upon the lips, and the squeeze tube churns out just enough product to coat your pucker for hours.

Vaseline Original Lip Therapy
First of all, how cute is this miniature tub? We’ve taken to carrying it around everywhere we go, just so we can pull it out of our purse and stare admiringly. It’s just a bonus that the formula prevents chapping and makes our lips feel super soft and smooth.

For Zoe Saldana’s appearance at ‘The Words’ premiere in Los Angeles, celebrity hairstylist, Mark Roszak, gave her tousled, wavy style. According to Roszak, this look can be copied in just three easy steps.

Step 1 is to prep and texturize. Work a mousse, like John Frieda Frizz-Ease Curl Reviver Styling Mousse, through towel-dried hair. And if you’re still seeking volume, spray roots with a texturizing or volumizing spray.

Step 2 is to secure the style. While hair is still damp, put it in a loose braid and then let it dry. Give hair the time it needs to dry completely and then take out the braid. Use your fingers to break up the waves by running them through your hair. The goal is to break up the waves into chunks, not to actually comb through hair. To add height to your hair, use your fingers to gently tease the hair at the crown. Then separate hair at the sides of the face into two groups and pull them from the side to the back of the head. Place one section over the other and secure the hair in the back with bobby pins. Continue to section hair and secure it in back until you have a full ponytail formed. Let strands fall naturally out and frame the face as you work your way back.

Step 3 is to polish and perfect. To complete this “undone” look you’ll want to spritz a bit of hairspray onto hair. Roszak recommends misting John Frieda Frizz-Ease Moisture Barrier Firm-Hold Hair Spray onto hair in an “even, all-round motion.”

Marc-Jacobs-DOT.jpgDon’t get us wrong—we love fragrances that actually smell good. But in the case of Marc Jacobs DOT, Marc’s newest eponymous fragrance, we’d be willing to overlook the scent just because the bottle is so darn cute! (Luckily, the scent is fantastic, too.)

Oversized black polka dots upon a bright red base give the illusion of a ladybug, while the top is crafted to look like a beautiful butterfly. The overall effect is one of fun, whimsy and pure joy! And, in case you weren’t aware, polka dots have been a major theme for Mister Marc Jacobs for years, so it’s fitting that they appear here.

And, just in case you actually buy perfumes based on scent and not the bottles they come in, we think you’ll be pleased to know the notes here are divine! Red berries, dragonfruit, honeysuckle, jasmine, coconut water, orange blossom, vanilla, driftwood and musk combine to create a scent that’s energetic and chic.

My adoration for bakery-scented fragrances might have just met it’s match in the Bath and Body Works Sweet on Paris Fragrance Mist. They describe it as, “as enticing medley of juicy blackberry, lemon meringue and creamy vanilla, inspired by the sweet temptations of a Parisian patisserie,” I would describe it as yummy without the overindulgence. It is a light and sheer scent that has the hints of deliciousness without the overpowering weight of a true vanilla scent — Meaning the people around you won’t think you’ve been in the kitchen all day!

Organix-Penetrating-Moroccan-Argan-Oil.jpgMy hair regimen has a lot of steps. Really, a lot. Shampoo, conditioner in the shower, a leave-in conditioner out of the shower, a spray-in conditioner/heat styler. And, while they all work to make my hair manageable, the glue that holds them all together is Organix Penetrating Moroccan Argan Oil.

I’m sure you’ve heard it before—argan oil is great for all hair types. It smooths, it shines, it protects … it basically just makes your hair look and feel amazing. And the best part is, you don’t need very much at a time! Only a dime-sized amount is enough to add tons of moisture, control and shine to even the thickest, most unruly hair (like that on the head of yours truly).

And the good stuff in this bottle even protects your hair from harmful UV rays! Even though summer is technically over, you can never do enough to safeguard against those, especially if you spend a lot of time outdoors on a regular basis. Oh, and did I mention it smells amazing? Well, it does.
