I have a love affair with heels. The higher … the skinnier … the sleeker … the better! My feet, however, do not share my love for heels. Oh sure, when I get a new pair they long to be put in them, but after about 5 minutes — enough time for me to ooh and ah in the mirror about how great they look — they are ready to be released and left to their favorite, au natural state. Then I found Cake Beauty Cake Walk Triplemint Foot Creme and my feet were soothed into submission. This amazing lotion is meant to “soothe, cool and nourish” your feet, and it delivers on all three. It also left my feet feeling soft and smooth, an added bonus for pedi-queens! My feet still scream after time spent in heels, but now I think it’s because they like the pampering they receive as a result of the complaining.

You can get Cake Beauty Cake Walk Triplemint Foot Creme (along with their divinely made hand cream) for $26 at Sephora.com.
Weleda-Sea-Buckthorn-Hand-Cream.jpgOnce winter even starts showing its ugly face, our hands start getting rough and chapped. Even when it’s 60 degrees outside, you’ll find us wearing gloves and slathering hand cream on multiple times a day. But with the introduction of Weleda Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream into our regimen, our hands have completely changed course.

For starters, we absolutely love the scent. It’s subtly zesty and citrusy, and at the same time isn’t too overpowering so we can still wear perfume. This is due to the combination of orange, mandarin and grapefruit essential oils.

The fact that the cream is formulated with sun-soaked Biodynamic sea buckthorn oil just makes it so rich and lush. Essential fatty acids moisturize, while pro-vitamin A and Vitamin E soften and strengthen the skin. With the addition of organic sesame seed oil, your hands will be super hydrated in no time at all.

And here’s the best part. Throughout the holiday season, you can get the cream and a free pair of moisturizing gloves! Just slick on the cream, then put on the gloves, and sit in your house for an hour or two (perfect while watching a movie). When you remove them, you’ll be amazed at how soft and smooth your skin has become!

Weleda Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream retails for $11 at weleda.com.
Shaving-Products-Image.jpgWhile shaving is a necessary evil, it’s not one we actually enjoy. It’s time-consuming, it happens way too often, and it just makes our showers a lot less fun. But with these four shaving products, the evil is lessened quite considerably!

L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil
A soft, smooth shave in mere seconds—and with the fantastic scent of almond oil to boot? This shower oil is perfect for slicking up your legs and making sure you remove each and every unwanted hair from the follicle.
$8 at sephora.com

The Art of Shaving Rose Absolute Shaving Cream
The heady scent of roses that accompanies this shaving cream—made by the premier shaving company, if we may be so bold—certainly makes us want to lather up.
$26 at sephora.com

Gillette Venus Divine Razor
Of course no shaving experience would be complete without the perfect razor! This one has a three-blade cartridge and a moisture strip so you could even shave with just water in a pinch.
$9.99 at ulta.com

Schick Skintimate Shave Gel
If it weren’t for this shave gel, we might have switched to men’s shaving cream long ago. All of the scents are fantastic, but our very favorite is Raspberry Rain.

Gold Bond is one of those brands that has been around forever, you probably even have one of their products in your medicine cabinet. Though their products undoubtedly work well, they don’t exactly have a glamorous image — until now, that is. The new Gold Bond Ultimate Sheer Ribbons body lotions are decidedly more high-end, luxurious, and shall we say, feminine.

Available in two formulas, these premium lotions are not your everyday lotions, they contain 7 hydrating moisturizers that replenish skin. The Natural Silk formula features natural silk proteins to enhance all-over smoothness and the Pearl Radiance formula contains natural pearl extracts that subtly reflect light. Both are lightly fragranced and come in a unique bottle that dispenses ribbons of lotion with the touch of the button, so there’s no mess.

I gave both formulas a try and was really impressed by how silky they left my skin, without a hint of greasiness that many moisturizers can leave. They work on even the dryest patches of skin and have a really nice scent that isn’t at all overpowering. I love the unique dispenser and the generous size of the bottle.

There wasn’t any discernible difference between the two formulas with respect to how well they moisturize skin, but if I had to choose one, I would select the Pearl Radiance formula for its subtle sheen and slightly more preferable fragrance.

Gold Bond Ultimate Sheer Ribbons body lotions are definitely worth a try, and at under $9 each, they’re incredibly affordable. Even better, you can download a $1 off coupon from their website. Check out goldbondultimate.com for more information on these and other Gold Bond Ultimate products.

And even more exciting? We’re giving away a year’s supply of both formulas to one lucky winner! To enter, “Like” us on Facebook and leave a comment on our Facebook wall, “I want to try Gold Bond Ultimate Sheer Ribbons Body!” (U.S. residents only please.)

jennifer-garner-11072011.jpgA beautiful and expecting Jennifer Garner attended an AFI premiere of her new movie ‘Butter’  this past week. But it wasn’t her drapey dress, strappy sandals, or barely there makeup that caught my eye — it was her nail polish. With her hand perfectly poised on her hip I saw flashes of gun metal grey with a bit of sparkle and became entranced.

I don’t know exactly which products she used to achieve this great color, but my nail color know-how tells me that this can certainly be copied at home. First you’ll need a great grey base polish, try OPI’s French Quarter for Your Thoughts or my personal fave, Essie’s Chinchilly. Next you need a sparkly top coat with a silver sheen to it, SEPHORA by OPI Flurry Up Top Coat or Sally Hansen’s Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in In the Spotlight will work nicely. Start with a good coat or two of the grey base and then apply the sparkle. Try this trick with any of your fave fall colors and watch them sparkle on through the holiday season!
