A woman should always have a good eye cream in her beauty arsenal. Recently I gave Kiss My Face Eye Witness Eye Repair Crème a test run and have continued to use it daily ever since. I like how it feels when I put it on and I like the effect it has even more. I swear my eyes seem brighter and the skin’s definitely more supple and soft. And one of the best parts of the Kiss My Face products are the natural ingredients. I’m a sucker for skin care that repairs without layering on more toxins.

MAC-Paint-Pot.jpgYou know those beauty products that have been in your arsenal for so long, you almost forget how truly amazing they are and how much they should be shouted from the rooftops? The products that are basically the cornerstone of your makeup looks? Well, that’s how I feel about MAC Paint Pots.

These unassuming little jars are filled with stunning, in-your-face colors that are just dying to be noticed. I love that MAC creates limited edition Paint Pots for various collections (although then it makes me sad when I get all the way to the bottom of the tub and there’s no finding the color again). I love that the color is richly pigmented and stays on all night without creasing, even if I’m dancing up a storm in a hot club. And I love that the colors work as both a primer and shadow, so you can wear them alone or layer other shadows on top of them with—you guessed it—still no creasing, smudging or fading!

Paint Pots are just one of those miraculous products that I can’t live without, and I honestly can’t believe it’s taken me this long to sing their praises for you!

When I saw the mark Star Status Eyeshadow Palette for the first time I knew it was going to be an instant hit with me. I absolutely adore its three shimmery shades that create the perfect light and shiny to dark and smokey eye effect. It comes in two different groups of shadows, one for creating the typical kohl black smokey eye (Meteor Showers), and the other is varying shades or copper and brown (Earth Angel) to give you a more natural-looking sheen — Either one is a must-have. Bonus, they’re inexpensive which makes them the perfect stocking stuffer, so grab one for you, and one for your sister and don’t forget that picky teen in your life!

I have always found that lengthening mascara formulas worked better for my thin, barely-there lashes … that is until I tried out Maybelline’s Volum’ Express The Mega Plush. There are so many things I adore about this mascara that I don’t know quite where to begin. The formula is so light and airy, Maybelline calls it a gel-mousse, I call it perfect — it glides right on to my lashes and doesn’t clump along the way. The wand has a flexor tip that gives just a little to let the brush adequately get to every lash. And the end result is killer lashes that never quit, it’s so good in fact that sometimes I wear just the mascara nothing else (on my face, of course!). Oh and the clincher is that it’s not impossible to get off at the end of the day!

Urban-Decay-Eyeshadow-Primer-Potion-Tube.jpgIf you’re going to use an eyeshadow primer, there’s really only one way to go. And that’s Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion.

We’d heard about the amazingness of this product for years before actually picking up a tube for ourselves. Really? we thought. A primer that makes eyeshadow stay in place, no matter how hot or sweaty we get? No matter the consistency of the shadow, cream or powder? No matter how humid the weather or amount of dancing we do in a club? Impossible.

Well, color us impressed, because this primer WORKS. A quick sweep on each eye, a few seconds to let it dry, and voila—your eyeshadow won’t move for the entire day. You heard us—the ENTIRE day. Cream, liquid, powder, it doesn’t matter—it just doesn’t budge!

And, thankfully, Urban Decay wised up and changed the packaging a couple years ago, from the old couldn’t-get-half-the-formula-out-of-the-strangely-shaped-tube to just a normal, everyday, squeezable tube that lets you get every single drop of product out. Thank goodness.
