Carol's-Daughter-Sweet-Honey-Dip-Chocolate-Brown-Sugah-Scrub.jpgWell, Halloween totally ruined our diet. We’ve been chowing down on candy ever since Sunday night! But there is at least one chocolate product that we refuse to feel guilty about — because no matter how often we use Carol’s Daughter Sweet Honey Dip Chocolate Brown Sugah Scrub, we won’t put on a single ounce.

This rich, sweet scrub seriously smells exactly like the most delicious chocolate you’ve ever had the fortune to come across. Real sugar crystals exfoliate and slough away every dead skin cell and bit of annoying flakiness while cleansing pores and balancing skin’s natural moisture level.

As if that weren’t enough, this scrub is formulated with a host of aromatic oils. Evening Primrose Oil contains substantial amounts of polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acids to rejuvenate skin cells and improve elasticity. Olive oil, which is rich in protein, minerals, Vitamin E and antioxidants, conditions and moisturizes the skin to no end.

This scrub is definitely perfect now that the seasons are changing and it looks like cold weather is here to stay. A dime-sized amount is all you need for each arm and leg — and you’ll be AMAZED at how baby soft and smooth your skin is after you step out of the shower!

When the weather cools off, and the leaves start turning, nothing is more comforting than warm, sweet and spicy scents - whether in the kitchen or on your body! Blanket yourself in fall aromas with these five indulgent goodies.

1. Philosophy Trick or Treat Lip Shine Duo, $18. Pumpkin spice and caramel apple? Yes, please! These high-shine glosses smell and taste fantastic, adding a nice sheer hint of color. Though they are a little stickier than we would have liked, we didn’t mind, because Philosophy goodies are formulated without parabens, sulfates, GMOs and triclosan.

2. Philosophy The Gingerbread Man Scrub, $25. We adore scrubs for this brand. They have the perfect amount of grain (not too soft, not too rough), plus they warm up marvelously as you work them onto your skin in the tub or bath. The spicy, gingery scent of this cookie-inspired scrub is light, and refreshing, and stays on your skin for a good amount of time.

3. Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Peel, $44. PTR is known for their anti-aging products, and their pumpkin peel is no exception. We loved how soft our skin was after just one use, and the fantastic scent is addicting. Plus, we were originally afraid it might be too much for our sensitive facial skin to handle, but there was no reaction, or left over breakouts!

4. Fresh Sugar Plum Lip Treatment SPF 15, $22.50. Give us a sweet, SPF-laden, sheerly tinted and silky lip product any day. Fresh’s new plum hue is fantastic for fall because it’s sweet, and pairs perfectly with wind blushed cheeks. The twist at the bottom of the stick is great for securing the top nicely, so we don’t have to worry about the top coming off in our bags. Though a little pricey, it will most likely last for months.

5. Cranberry Joy Shimmer Lotion by the Body Shop, $16. For us, the mouthwatering cranberry scent from the Body Shop is our favorite holiday scent. Though its more reminiscent of Christmas than of fall (to us, at least), the light shimmer it leaves on your skin looks beautiful in soft autumnal light.

Softsoap-Brand-Body-Wash-Black-Orchid.jpgThose of us who dread the early morning shower, especially as the cold creeps in, are always on the lookout for decadent, moisturizing new potions to make the process a bit more enjoyable. Thankfully, Softsoap’s new luxe body washes have us covered.

The new lineup includes:

  • Nutri Serums Mineral Extracts - This luxurious formula is infused with mineral extracts to enhance skin’s radiance, while providing a concentrated dose of nutrients for soft, healthy-looking skin.
  • Body Butter Mega Moisture Heavenly Vanilla - This thick, rich formula delivers long-lasting moisture with a comforting vanilla scent that leaves you feeling relaxed and ready to conquer your day. Restores moisture to help prevent the appearance of dry skin
  • Black Orchid & Velvet Hibiscus- Enriched with real hibiscus extract, this natural skin conditioner leaves skin silky soft and irresistible to the touch.

The Nutri Serum is light and has a soothing gel texture, and leaves skin luminous. The Black orchid has an intoxicating, spicy scent that leaves skin feeling…sexy. Perhaps best for the colder months, the rich vanilla Body Butter leaves skin silky and smells exactly as described…heavenly. We couldn’t stop smelling our arm all day.

We’ve been using these three in heavy rotation… it’s impossible to choose just one!

yume-blush.jpgVery rarely is there a product that can be used head to toe. Which is why we were very impressed with Yume Blush’s whipped body cream chiffons. They are 100% botanical and vegan, making them edible, natural and chemical-free. We tried a handful of the seven flavors, including coconut lime (our favorite), apple raspberry and lavender honey.

The dense, yet airy body chiffon warmed up with our own body heat, melting deliciously into the consistency of a massage oil - though it leaves no greasy, slick-like residue. We also scooped up a finger tip full and used it as a rich body butter. Though, we must say, that our favorite application was as a thin, tasty and very moisturizing lip balm.

Best of all (because who doesn’t love free samples?), with every purchase, you get four 1/2 ounce jars in any flavor of your choice. These little jars work perfectly for throwing into your bag, and using on your lips, cuticles or hands.  $30,

Trina Cosmetic Case.jpgAs you probably know by now, we love our beauty products. But when a trip arises, if you’re anything like us, you end up with about three to four plastic ziplock bags full of everything from eye cream to exfoliant. Now, ziplock bags may be completely functional - especially during the unfortunate event of a product explosion - but they aren’t at all chic or fabulous.

Enter Trina Cosmetic Bags. We were sent the Kelly Stripe Lilac Deluxe Weekender to test (pictured), and we couldn’t be more pleased. The four-piece set is ideal for long weekend trips, and (if you pack light and sensibly), any vacation, really.

We loved the plastic (read: wipeable and water-friendly) exterior, and the super soft, luxe interior. A heavy-duty zipper encases three durable plastic bags. One clear bag with no lining held all of our makeup, another small bag held our face wash, moisturizer, glasses, eye cream and razor, while a third, larger bag housed our hefty saline solution, toothbrush and paste, tweezers, deodorant and toner.

Though there wasn’t any space left for bathing and hair-washing essentials (those are better suited for explosion-proof ziplocks), we were super pleased with being able to carry around all our must-have toiletries in one ultra-cute and classic case
