The Body Shop has been known for its body butters longer than many bath lines have been in the game. And anyone who’s tried them before knows just how great they are. They absorb quickly, leave amazing fragrances behind and moisturize deeply. Their Love Etc. Body Butter is newer to the line and is made with Community Trade cocoa butter, and organic, virgin, cold-pressed Community Trade coconut oil — the result is a decadent and rich moisturizing cream that leaves skin soft and non-greasy.

Laura Mercier Almond Scrub.pngWhile I don’t normally go for beauty products that are sugary sweet, I make an exception for anything by Laura Mercier. The brand’s bath and body products just can’t be beat both for quality and delicious scents—especially the Almond Coconut Milk Scrub.

Not only does this scrub just smell delectable, it leaves skin feeling baby soft in what seems like seconds. Recently, my legs have taken on an extremely dry, ashy quality—well, not anymore, thanks to this scrub! The granular texture is still smooth instead of rough, and it moisturizes as it exfoliates, so your skin isn’t irritated. This is thanks to yummy ingredients like safflower seed and grapeseed oils, not to mention the ones mentioned in the name of the product (ahem: almond, coconut and milk).

You know what they say. Milk: it does a body good.

Today’s lesson is one of the “be careful what you wish for” kind. I saw that Kiss My Face had a new Cold and Flu Shower and Bath Gel and I was intrigued by the concept. Its ingredients include olive oil, aloe vera and allantoin, all of which are the perfect antidote to soothe skin that is feeling achy and itchy. It also contains eucalyptus which is cooling and soothing to the skin, while fennel acts as an anti inflammatory and horehound has soothing and aromatic properties. All of this sounded delightful and I found myself wanting to put try it out for myself … well within days I found myself battling a cold that forced me to put the bath and shower gel to the test. While I can’t say that it shortened my cold or improved my symptoms I can say that it smelled great and really helped open up my sinuses. It also provided just the aromatherapy I needed to sleep the cold off. This baby’s definitely a keeper — just heed my advice, be careful what you wish for.

If you suffer from severely dry skin in the cold, winter months, this is the cream for you. It helps even the most cracked, miserable, scaliest of skins return to a soft and supple state. Its non-greasy formula won’t leave you feeling shiny or slick and its super-absorbent qualities mean it penetrates deeply and restores skin quickly. It’s also completely natural and safe for use on the body or face … personally, my hands practically scream for it.

Soap-&-Glory-Clean-On-Me.jpgI try a lot of shower gels. And I mean a lot. Well, recently, there’s been one on constant rotation in my shower … Soap & Glory Clean On Me Creamy Moisture Shower Gel.

I love the way it smells. It’s scented with a combination of fresh bergamot, mandarin, rose, jasmine, peach, strawberry, oakmoss, amber, woody notes and warm vanilla. A lot of notes to find in one shower gel? Maybe. Do they combine to create an intoxicatingly wonderful scent? Absolutely.

Plus, only a few pumps are enough to create such an amazing amount of lather on my pouf! At this rate, I’m going to have this shower gel brightening up my tub for quite some time, even though I use it so often!
