Over the years, I’ve tried various anti-aging creams and serums — after all, it’s never too early to start action against the signs of aging. What I’ve never tried, however, is a complete anti-aging system that targets aging using products that work together for an even more effective regime. Enter L’Oreal Paris RevitaLift Triple Power Collection, an anti-aging system that includes three products working together to repair wrinkles, re-firm contours and replenish facial volume.

The three products included in the system are:

  • Triple Power Concentrated Serum that claims to smooth skin and improve skin tone in 1 week and visibly reduce wrinkles in 4 weeks.
  • Triple Power Deep-Acting Moisturizer stimulates collagen production to increase elasticity, making skin look younger, firmer and lifted.
  • Triple Power Eye Treatment to reduce wrinkles and firm and lift the eye area.

In the past few years, I’ve noticed that my smile lines have become more pronounced and a loss of firmness in the skin around my eyes, so anti-aging treatments have become a priority for me. Over the next month, I will be testing out this system and sharing the results each week, so stay tuned!

L’Oréal Paris RevitaLift introduces Triple Power - three anti-aging skincare products designed to help fight the 3 dimensions of aging. When just fighting wrinkles isn’t enough, you need to go beyond a one-dimensional approach to restore skin’s youthful look. Challenge this approach with a powerful and luxurious cream (Triple Power Deep-Acting Moisturizer) that visibly addresses the three dimensions of aging skin: wrinkles, loss of facial volume and loss of firmness. The RevitaLift Triple Power collection also includes a Concentrated Serum and an Eye Treatment.

BB Creams (“beauty balms” or “blemish balms”) are without a doubt this year’s most buzzed about cosmetic trend. Though properties of the various creams differ, they all promise one thing: multiple benefits in a single formula. These incredible multi-taskers combine several products into one, allowing women to simplify their skincare and makeup routines. Brilliant, right?

The great news is, you don’t have to spend a fortune on a luxury department store brand now that drugstore brands are getting into the BB game — and with winning results! L’Oreal Paris Youth Code BB Cream Illuminator ($16.99) is one of the newest to enter the market, making it super-easy for anyone to get glowy, flawless skin.

Youth Code BB Cream Illuminator combines 5 benefits into a single step: it instantly evens, illuminates, perfects, moisturizes and protects with built-in SPF 15. Even better, the product promises to improve your skin with continued use, offering better tone, texture and a healthier overall appearance.

Already getting rave reviews, we’re looking forward to testing out this miracle cream first hand. Keep an eye on this column and we’ll post our results in a few weeks!

Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer
Generally I find the multi-shade formulas (like the one above and below) to provide the most effective bronzing, but the Hoola’s perfect golden shade does the trick very nicely. Plus it comes with its own applicator brush!

alba-botanica-hawaiian-facial-scrub.jpg
I recently realized I had a sensitivity to SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) and have since been going through all the items in my beauty regimen to eliminate this pesky ingredient — you’d be surprised what you find it in. My favorite daily face scrub had SLS in it, so it had to go. This is why I tried Alba Botanica’s Hawaiian Facial Scrub. Their packaging clearly states: “100% Vegetarian. No: Animal Testing, Artificial Colors, Parabens, Phthalates, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Methyl Sulfate,” so I figured I was in good hands. Even though I tried it because it didn’t have that pesky SLS, I adored it for other reasons. It left my skin absolutely fresh and glowing, it wasn’t harsh and didn’t dry it out, and it smelled divine (probably due to the pineapple and papaya enzymes). Needless to say I have a keeper on my hands.

Best-Primers-Image.jpgA necessity in our makeup routine? Primer. Whether for eyes or face, it’s not a step we skip in the morning. Over the years, we’ve tried a lot of primers, but these five are our absolute favorites. We’re betting they’ll be yours, too.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer - Radiance
Wait a minute. Primer that both makes skin soft and perfect for applying makeup, but makes it glow, therefore rendering serum and moisturizer almost useless? This one does the trick.

Korres Face Primer
We’re fans of every product in the Korres line. This primer is no different, thanks to the silicone-free formula and conditioning Vitamin E.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
The absolute best eyeshadow primer ever! We’re incredibly happy that Urban Decay finally took it out of the weird tube that made you lose half the formula—because with just a dab on each eye, your shadow will stay put ALL. DAY. LONG.

Fresh Rose FreshFace Primer
What a sweetly scented primer this one is. It seriously smells so good, we find ourselves wanting to apply it multiple times a day just so we can smell it again and again!

Yves Saint Laurent Top Secrets Pore Refining Skincare Brush
Not only does this primer mattify the skin, it makes pores appear smaller and eliminates dead skin cells with salicylic acid. Plus, you apply it with an undeniably chic brush. What could be better?
