If we had a choice, we would honestly never file our nails. The sound and feel of it is akin to nails on a chalkboard … and, honestly, the two aren’t so far removed from one another. But if we have to keep our nails looking groomed and gorgeous, the least we could ask for is an adorable nail file! I’m a sucker for great nail colors, but sometimes that perfect shade needs a little tweak. I’m notorious for layering colors to create my own and then I found Essie’s Matte About You. This brilliant top coat takes any nail color you’ve got and transforms it to a smooth matte finish without thinning color. I have a shiny metallic silver nail polish (Essie’s Steel-ing the Scene) that I love to put this over to remove the shine and make a wonderful flat grey.

The hot new nail polish shade around town—or maybe we should say the coolest? It’s most definitely Essie Lapis of Luxury.

As one might expect from the name, it’s a gorgeous shade of lapis blue. The color is rich and dark with even just one coat, though two bring it to a whole new level of amazing. The polish itself glides on with absolutely no trouble and is super, super glossy.

We’re currently rocking it on our toes and haven’t stopped getting compliments for days!

Perfectly purple in every way? That’s how we feel about OPI The Color to Watch.

This purple polish has just enough blue and just enough shimmer in it to make it totally interesting and dynamic. We love how it looks different in different lights, sometimes looking lavender and sometimes turning almost navy. Plus, we love that the shimmer makes this color gorgeous from day to night!

And just a note on the color and finish … we’re wearing three coats in the picture above. One is quite sheer, two is more blue than purple, three will give you the color you see here.
