Essie-Navigate-Her.jpgWhether or not you really celebrate St. Patrick’s Day seems to be beyond the point these days. But if you want to add a little green to your beauty routine this week, do it with Essie Navigate Her.

This green polish packs a major punch. It’s a bright celadon shade of green, which we love not only for its yellowish gold tinge but for the fabulous color name. (Really, is there a better color name out there than celadon?)

Two coats slick on creamy, glossy and completely opaque. Essie nail polish also has fantastic staying power, so as long as you paint your tips by Wednesday, they’ll be good to go for a little St. Patty’s Day fun!

Sally-Hansen-Salon-Effects.jpgNail art has been sweeping both runways and real girls for some time now, thanks in large part to amazing looks created at Fashion Week by CND and inspiration from girls in Japan. And now, with Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips, nail art just got super fun and easy for even the most polish-applying-challenged of girls.

Glitter? They’ve got it. Leopard print? Done. Colorful flowers? Why didn’t you say so? Seriously, 40 styles to choose from, the only problem we’ve found is not wanting to change our nails every day!

We were shocked to discover how easy these strips were to apply. We’ve tried a lot of others in the past that just were so difficult to put on, find ones that fit all of our nails, and didn’t get really ragged really quickly. Luckily, there are so many sizes included in each box that it’s near impossible not to find one that fits every single nail—and they’re incredibly easy to apply and stick, with no raggedy edges left behind.

We will recommend that you apply a top coat over them just for longer lasting power and for the strips not to feel jagged after a day or two.

Nails-Inc-Electric-Lane-Top-Coat.jpgWant to transform your nails from drab to fab in an instant? Pick up a bottle of Nails Inc. Special Effects Electric Lane Holographic Glitter Top Coat.

The longest name in the world aside (seriously, we’ve never seen a longer name for a nail polish before), this top coat is super cool. It makes nails glitter and glisten with just one coat! We love it over everything, from browns and blacks to reds and purples. It just makes every color that much better.

We will say that the formula is pretty thick, so it will obscure the original color fairly well with only one coat. Our favorite way to wear it is as an accent nail against a mainly creamy, non-glittery manicure so that it really stands out.

Scarlett Johansson
complemented her deep navy dress with a deep blue nail color for a recent engagement. Her overall style was very simple, very classic, while her nails showed her fashion-forward thinking. A stunning blue nail color can really pull off a basic evening ensemble and even add a little sass to your everyday looks as well.

To copy Scarlett’s blue digits, I suggest checking out OPI’s Yoga-ta Get This Blue, Essie Bobbing for Baubles or Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Navy Baby.
China-Glaze-Colours-From-The-Capitol-Collection.jpgAre you as into The Hunger Games as I am? I have to admit, I’ve read the series four times and can’t wait for the movie to come out. And, as luck would have it, neither can China Glaze! For months, a nail polish collection was rumored—and now, there will be the Colours from the Capitol Collection!

The collection includes 12 polishes inspired by The Hunger Games. From Luxe and Lush (iridescent glitter that almost looks like glass particles) to Riveting (fiery orange), the collection includes something for everyone—no matter which district you may be rooting for.

The China Glaze Colours from the Capitol collection will launch in early March and will be available at Each bottle will retail for $5.99.
