I’ve been intrigued by the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips since they first popped up. But I kept having flashbacks to my youth and those silly Lee Press-on-Nails and what a disaster they were. Surely anything you stick on your nails would behave the same, right? Apparently my misgivings are misguided, as I’ve seen everyone, and I do mean, EVERYONE rocking these trendy talons. Just a couple nights ago, Christina Aguilera rocked the Nail Polish Strips in the “Lust-rous” pattern on her TV show The Voice. Needless to say, when I’m ready to change my nail color next week, I’ll be testing these out.

Chanel-Gold-Fingers-Le-Vernis-Nail-Lacquer.jpgAh, Chanel. We’re fairly certain they can do no wrong when it comes to nail polish. Time and time again, they produce colors that are gorgeous and bold yet extremely wearable. And, as one might expect, they’ve done it once more with Gold Fingers Le Vernis Nail Colour.

We have to admit, when we first saw this polish in the bottle, we were skeptical of how it would apply. We thought it would be on the grittier, thinner glitter side of the nail polish spectrum. But oh, how wrong we were—and how happy we were to be wrong! One coat yields slick, sleek, totally even color that’s the shade and consistency of rich molten gold.

We also love the amount of sparkle packed into the formula. As if the color itself weren’t gold enough, it’s layered with a large number of gold sparkles to really stand out in the crowd.

This nail polish is part of Chanel’s limited-edition Las Vegas de Chanel collection. It retails for $28 at chanel.com.
Chanel-Graphite.jpgWe try a lot of nail polishes. A lot of nail polishes. But right now, there’s only one we’re obsessed with—and it’s Chanel Graphite Le Vernis Nail Colour.

Is it silver? Is it grey? Is it charcoal? The good news is, it’s all of the above! One coat glides on sleek and full of gorgeous color. Glittery particles are packed into a dark grey base, creating a color like none other we’ve ever seen. We don’t have anything like it in our collection, especially since it isn’t rough or gritty like most glittery polishes.

This color looks equally as good on fingers as it does on toes. We just can’t get enough of it!

Chanel Graphite Le Vernis Nail Colour retails for $26 at chanel.com.

Nicki Minaj may not generally be my cup of tea, but I was speechless when I saw her fabulous line of nail colors for OPI. Each color is more marvelous then the next, beginning with Pink Friday and ending with her own special shatter shade, Super Bass Shatter. Leave it to Hip-Hop’s current “It Girl” to be a part of nail colors so amazing they ALMOST make me rethink my stance on acrylic nails — I’m sure they’ll look just as good on my natural nails, though.

Essie-Navigate-Her.jpgWhether or not you really celebrate St. Patrick’s Day seems to be beyond the point these days. But if you want to add a little green to your beauty routine this week, do it with Essie Navigate Her.

This green polish packs a major punch. It’s a bright celadon shade of green, which we love not only for its yellowish gold tinge but for the fabulous color name. (Really, is there a better color name out there than celadon?)

Two coats slick on creamy, glossy and completely opaque. Essie nail polish also has fantastic staying power, so as long as you paint your tips by Wednesday, they’ll be good to go for a little St. Patty’s Day fun!

Essie Navigate Her retails for $8 at cusp.com.
