yes-to-carrots-intense-repair-hand-cream.jpgIt may be unseasonably warm where I live but that doesn’t stop me from worrying about the cold, winter air and what it does to my skin. My hands can become so dry that the skin just cracks. Worst of all is all the cuts and scrapes I seem to get as a result of them already being dried out — Just reaching into my purse can feel like a torture device. This is why I’m a proud user of Yes To Carrots Intense Repair Hand Cream. It brilliantly moisturizes my hands and is actually formulated for use in winter months. Maybe this year my hands won’t look like they’ve been working with thorny roses all day.

Deodorant might not be the beauty product everyone wants to talk about, but believe me it’s worth talking about. I was super-excited to find Lavanila The Healthy Deodorant! It’s not your typical powder fresh, shower fresh, chemical-ridden deodorant — it comes in great vanilla-based scents and contains no parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, petro-chemicals or phthalates. For me this means it smells great, is perfectly safe and won’t cause any skin reactions. It’s a win on all counts.

I have always found that lengthening mascara formulas worked better for my thin, barely-there lashes … that is until I tried out Maybelline’s Volum’ Express The Mega Plush. There are so many things I adore about this mascara that I don’t know quite where to begin. The formula is so light and airy, Maybelline calls it a gel-mousse, I call it perfect — it glides right on to my lashes and doesn’t clump along the way. The wand has a flexor tip that gives just a little to let the brush adequately get to every lash. And the end result is killer lashes that never quit, it’s so good in fact that sometimes I wear just the mascara nothing else (on my face, of course!). Oh and the clincher is that it’s not impossible to get off at the end of the day!

A few weeks ago, I introduced you to the L’Oreal Paris RevitaLift Triple Power Collection, an anti-aging system that includes three products working together to repair wrinkles, re-firm contours and replenish facial volume. Since then, I have been using each of the three products twice daily, paying close attention to any immediate and long-term results. I reviewed each of the three products individually: the Deep Acting Moisturizer, Concentrated Serum and Eye Treatment and gave them a glowing review.

After several weeks of using the complete system, I can honestly say that my skin hasn’t looked this good in years! Over the past couple of years, I’ve noticed an increase in the fine lines (or crinkles) around my eyes, a loss of firmness and more pronounced smile lines. Since starting the Triple Power Collection, my skin looks noticeably more firm and plump and the fine lines around my eyes are diminished. In addition, my skin looks glowy and moisturized, which is no easy feat for my dry skin.

I’ve received several compliments from friends and family about my skin, so the improvement is not only noticeable to me. I can honestly say that my skin looks younger than it did a month ago and I plan to continue using the Triple Power Collection as an integral part of my daily routine.

L’Oréal Paris RevitaLift introduces Triple Power - three anti-aging skincare products designed to help fight the 3 dimensions of aging. When just fighting wrinkles isn’t enough, you need to go beyond a one-dimensional approach to restore skin’s youthful look. Challenge this approach with a powerful and luxurious cream (Triple Power Deep-Acting Moisturizer) that visibly addresses the three dimensions of aging skin: wrinkles, loss of facial volume and loss of firmness. The RevitaLift Triple Power collection also includes a Concentrated Serum and an Eye Treatment.

I had the pleasure of becoming acquainted with Tweezerman’s Slant Tweezer very early on in my eyebrow pruning years. Ever since then, I’ve known that they are simply the best. I don’t know that I can truly explain why, but I know they fit incredibly well in my hand, are made from the finest stainless steel, and the tips are perfectly created to grab every single stray hair. In general tweezers aren’t a tool you’ll find yourself replacing a lot, that is except for when Tweezerman announces another fun print like this new etched zebra print.
