For music’s biggest night, Adele went for a big eye look — thanks to Michael Ashton, who is the makeup artist mastermind behind this glamorous GRAMMY style.

The key to Adele’s look was her deep, dark cat eye liner, achieved with Maybelline Studio Gel Liner in Black. But as any beauty junkie knows the liner is only one piece to a perfect cat eye. Equally important are the contrasting and contouring shadows used, Michael opted for Lancôme Color Design Infinité 24H Eye Shadow in Continuous Creme and Lancôme Color Design 5 Shadow & Liner Palette in Coral Crush to add just the right depth to the look. And no bold red carpet eye look is complete without mascara, in this case Michael relied on Lancôme Hypnôse Star Mascara in Noir Midnight.

Adele’s lips may have let her eyes do all the talking for her, but it wasn’t to go completely unnoticed. Michael used Armani Lip Maestro in Number 500: Blush as a base coat, lined with MyFace Lip Liner in Nude, and finished with a glossy topcoat of Sisley Phyto Lip Star Lip Gloss in White Diamond to give Adele’s mouth an almost unnoticeable, totally natural and classic look.
While her Grammys dress was anything but demure — Katy Perry’s makeup was more on the modest side of things thanks to makeup artist Jake Bailey, who used Rimmel London products to create this natural, simple look.

Starting with her eyes, Jake used Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in Black to define Katy’s lower lash line. Then he used Rimmel London’s Glam Eyes Eyeshadow Trio in Orion to add depth and contour to Katy’s eyelids. As a highlighting step, then he used Rimmel London’s Scandal Eyes Shadow Stick in Bulletproof Beige, on her eyelid and brow bone. Lastly he finished her off eye look with Rimmel London’s Scandal Eyes Mascara in Black.

Even the most natural of looks often includes extra work, so Jake evened out Katy’s skin with a custom base, by using a mixture of 1/3 Rimmel London BB Cream in Light with 2/3 Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation in Nude. “The BB Cream sheers the foundation out and gives it a little glow,” Jake said about the effect he created. Every red carpet look requires the right flush, so Jake used a dusting of Rimmel London’s Lasting Finish Soft Colour Mono Blush in Pink Rose on the apples of her cheeks.

And last but not least, Katy’s look was topped off with a lining of Rimmel London Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lipliner in Natural, and a coat of Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in Crush.
While doing the usual whirlwind press stuff to promote her new (and much buzzed about) TV show, ‘The Carrie Diaries’, AnnaSophia Robb stopped by L’Occitane en Provence. Judging by some of the great stuff she left with, like the Shea Butter Hand Cream, Almond Shower Supple Skin Oil, Shea Butter Ultra-Rich Body Cream, and Lavender Foaming Bath, I’m guessing she was looking for a little reprieve from the blustery, freezing temps in NYC, as well as the stress of preparing for the launch of a new, much-hyped, TV show. AnnaSophia Robb will be playing the younger version of fashion’s beloved TV character, Carrie Bradshaw. While everyone is chattering about her role and the show, some of us can’t help but wonder if this “mini” Carrie will have the same impact on style as her predecessor did — what do you think?

Jessica Chastain’s makeup was perfectly chosen to complement her bold, red Alexander McQueen gown at the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards. Makeup artist Kristofer Buckle used Lancôme and Yves Saint Laurent products to create this beautiful look.

Applying Lancôme Blush in Peche Joue-Joue on her cheeks, Lancôme Color Design Sensational Effects Eye Shadow in Filigree and Snap and Lancôme Liner Design Gel Eyeliner in Black Fishnets on her eyes, and Lancôme Hypnôse Star Mascara on her lashes. But it was her deep strawberry red lips that were the perfect finishing touch to this look, Kristofer relied on Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine in Rouge in Danger to get it just right.
While welcoming her 49th birthday and preparing to celebrate her husband’s second inauguration, I assume Michelle Obama wanted to make a splash with a bit of a different look. She used her new twitter account to reveal the new style and many, present company included, seem more than happy with the new cut. The new bangs are more wispy and feathery and fall just above her eyebrows perfectly. With her thick hair and layered cut she looks stylish and youthful and appropriately ready to embark on another term with her husband.
