While some celebs took home the coveted Moon Man award at the MTV Video Music Awards last week, it was Rashida Jones’ glowing makeup job that was worthy of accolade. Jamie Greenberg, mark’s celebrity makeup artist, explains how she achieved the soft, warm glow on Rashida, “I buffed mark Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes All Over Face Palette on her cheeks, and kissed them with mark Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Cheeky. I set the makeup by dusting her face and decollate with mark Bronze Pro Bronzing Powder in Bronze.”
For Zoe Saldana’s appearance at ‘The Words’ premiere in Los Angeles, celebrity hairstylist, Mark Roszak, gave her tousled, wavy style. According to Roszak, this look can be copied in just three easy steps.

Step 1 is to prep and texturize. Work a mousse, like John Frieda Frizz-Ease Curl Reviver Styling Mousse, through towel-dried hair. And if you’re still seeking volume, spray roots with a texturizing or volumizing spray.

Step 2 is to secure the style. While hair is still damp, put it in a loose braid and then let it dry. Give hair the time it needs to dry completely and then take out the braid. Use your fingers to break up the waves by running them through your hair. The goal is to break up the waves into chunks, not to actually comb through hair. To add height to your hair, use your fingers to gently tease the hair at the crown. Then separate hair at the sides of the face into two groups and pull them from the side to the back of the head. Place one section over the other and secure the hair in the back with bobby pins. Continue to section hair and secure it in back until you have a full ponytail formed. Let strands fall naturally out and frame the face as you work your way back.

Step 3 is to polish and perfect. To complete this “undone” look you’ll want to spritz a bit of hairspray onto hair. Roszak recommends misting John Frieda Frizz-Ease Moisture Barrier Firm-Hold Hair Spray onto hair in an “even, all-round motion.”

Kate Hudson has a style and class all her own. She can effortlessly be boho-chic or perfectly polished in the blink of an eye. But the pièce de résistance of this look was her eyebrows. Perfectly shaped and shaded to her hair color, they draw attention to her beautiful light eyes and don’t overwhelm her face. Best of all they have a great curvy arch and aren’t too thin or too thick.
The ombre hairstyle has been big for a while, and I’ve seen probably every iteration imaginable. But, I have to say that Lea Michele’s rendition is probably one of my all time faves. Her deep dark roots slowly shift down to beautiful golden caramel ends and the entire effect just looks amazing on her. If you’ve been debating the ombre, I suggest you consider requesting this specific combo at the hair salon this fall.
Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale looked smokin’ hot with smokey eyes on the red carpet for their new movie, ‘Total Recall.’ But what really got me was the similar hair colors and very different takes on hair styles. They both sported deep brunette locks but in totally different ways. Kate went for a cute side twist with long tendrils curling around her face, while Jessica went for a more polished look with a pulled back ‘do and thick fringe bangs. Both ladies looked equally classy and stylish.
