I think the 80s have called and they want Elizabeth Banks’ ‘Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ premiere look back. Her neon yellow dress was accompanied by a bold orange lip color. The lip color is certainly a great color choice for those who like to attract a little (or a lot of) attention. To copy the look you might want to check out MAC Cosmetics Lipstick in Neon Orange.
The pixie cut has made a prominent show this fall, and it’s certainly a fresh crop for a fresh season. Jennifer Hudson and Jennifer Lawrence each popped up recently with barely there hair that showed just what lengths they were willing to go to be stylish. The question is whether these leading ladies will stick with the cut, let it grow out naturally or turn to extensions to phase it out quickly. Of all the trends this fall, this was one I didn’t anticipate — are you planning on trying a pixie on for size this fall?
Lucy Hale presented an award at the Country Music Awards and looked ravishing as she did it. Because she’s a mark Celebrity Brand Ambassador, Lucy’s look was primarily done with mark cosmetics — Kelsey Deenihan, the makeup artist responsible for the look, shared all the details. First the look began with an inspiration. “Lucy is wearing a gorgeous pastel flowy dress and we knew her makeup had to be glamorous and standout, but not overpower the sweetness of her overall look. We decided on a fresh look focusing on her eyes and drew shadow inspiration from the colors of her dress,” Kelsey explained.

Step 1: Face and Cheeks
Kelsey began by prepping Lucy’s skin with Nourish Moisturizer by Lancer Skincare. She explained, “{Nourish moisturizer} soaks into the skin leaving it hydrated throughout the night allowing the makeup continually look even and fresh.”
Next she mixed Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 5 and 5.5 and applied it with a fluffy brush working from the center of her face outward. For any areas that needed extra coverage and to brighten under the eyes, she used Cle de Peau Concealer in Ivory.
Lastly, Kelsey applied mark Just Blushing Powder Blush in Cameo to create a deep contour and topped off the cheeks with the pinks of the mark Wonder Glow Blush & Glow All Over Face Palette. “I swept it high across Lucy’s cheekbones allowing the subtle shimmer to illuminate her skin,” Kelsey commented on the finishing touch.
Step 2: Eyes
Kelsey used the mark 10 Year Anniversary Eye Shadow Palette to really make Lucy’s eyes pop. She started with the left two colors (the M and A) all over Lucy’s lid. Then, she lined the top and bottom with both mark No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner in Jet Set and Foxy Brown. As a finishing touch, Kelsey described how she highlighted Lucy’s eyes even further, “For the inner corners of her eyes, I used the white shade (on the far right) of the mark 10 Year Anniversary Eye Shadow Palette. The brightness in the corners or her eyes allows the shadow to catch the light and reflect it and makes Lucy’s eyes appear larger.” As a finishing touch Kelsey applied two generous coats of mark Scanda-Lash mascara in Blackest Black to Lucy’s lashes.
Step 3: Lips
To finish Lucy’s look, Kelsey applied mark Make It Rich Lip Crayon in Naturally, “This sweet peachy pink allows the focus to be on her eyes, but also compliments her dress and her overall look.”

A beautifully glowing, pregnant Gwen Stefani took to the red carpet with a topknot hairstyle that proved they weren’t just for bumming around. What makes this one so great and posh is the way it folds into itself. She also opted for a polished and sleek topknot versus the messy ones we’ve seen as of late. If your hair is baby fine like mine, you might find the only way to create this hairstyle perfectly is with a lot of extra pins and hairspray.
When I saw how phenomenal Emma Stone’s eyelashes looked in the Revlon Lash Potion Mascara ad campaign, I had to bite. Now that being said, I hope we all know by now that often times celebrity’s lashes are treated with other products and sometimes use falsies — so I know this mascara is not going to get the exact same result on my barely there lashes. However, I can say that Revlon’s Lash Potion Mascara is as close to a magic serum as my lashes will ever get. It made my lashes more voluminous and longer and definitely made my eyes pop. It doesn’t clump and removes easily with makeup remover. Don’t believe me? Buy a tube yourself and test it out. What do you have to lose?
