Often at red carpet events you see a lot of fancy, swept up, twists and buns. So I was super surprised to see Reese Witherspoon’s hair down and flowing loose at the Golden Globes the other night. And leave it to Los Angeles to remind us that Spring and Summer are creeping up on us and soon we’ll all want tousled, wavy locks. Frederic Fekkai stylist Adir Abergel was the mastermind behind the stunning ‘do. Adir started by using Fekkai COIFF™ Océanique Tousled Wave Spray throughout Reese’s dry hair. He then used a small amount of Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Cream, applying it to the ends of her hair to create a moisturizing seal. Next he used a medium round brush and blow-dried the hair to create volume. Using slight tension to create loose waves, he then wrapped the hair around a one inch curling iron. This process was repeated step by step around her entire head. Lastly, Adir took the hair at the crown of the head, and pulled it back for a Bardo-style bump. He finished the look with Fekkai COIFF™ Sheer Hold Hairspray for hold and Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Sheer Shine Mist for shine.
You’ve probably noticed Fergie’s hair getting lighter and lighter for some time, so it was really no surprise when she popped up on New Year’s Eve with these cascading golden locks. One key difference I notice of the current honey-hued Fergie is her barely noticeable roots — when she previously dabbled in blonde hues she often opted for a more streaky, highlighted look. I really liked how Fergie used her dark locks to add depth to her outfits, so I’ll be intrigued to see what this softer shade does to her style
