In my humble opinion, the best part of any award show is the style. And as someone who loves the switch in seasons, I was psyched to see some great fall trends emerge at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. While some celebs opted for puckers that popped in wild shades, Zoe Saldana and Katie Holmes rocked the classic for fall, barely there nude lips.The trick to nude lips is grabbing a nude (not just “tan”) lipcolor that is only one shade lighter at most than your normal lip color. If you’re trying to go even lighter you’ll need to heavily moisturize and try dabbing a tiny bit of tinted moisturizer on lips and especially around the outline of your mouth.
For a girl who changes her haircolor more often than most of us change purses, you’d think we’d seen it all from Rihanna. Over the years we’ve seen this Barbados beauty sport blond, black, orange, red and even two-tone shades of haircolor that have made us long for her daring sense of style. Then this past week she popped up with a shade of golden brown hair that is so simple and tame (by her standards) that we’re a little bit stunned — yet still impressed!
