My poor hair was beginning to show signs of wear and split ends from my adoration for how it looks after I blow dry it. And I was beginning to show signs of stress and fatigue from worrying about my hair. That is until I found L’Oreal Paris EverSleek Precious Oil Treatment. This stuff is a wonder product! I generally use one to two little drops after blow drying to help add moisture and shine to my hair. But I have also used it on damp hair when I didn’t plan to blow dry and been happy with the results. It doesn’t wear my hair down, I avoid the roots and apply it only to ends, and it leaves my hair silky smooth and very shiny.

While we have nothing against Crest or Colgate, once in awhile we just want something a bit more luxurious on our toothbrush. And Marvis is definitely the way to go when this is the case. This particular flavor is minty fresh and delicious, and keeps stale breath at bay all day long.

Plus, it helps to fight plaque and tooth decay. What more could you want from a luxurious toothpaste such as this?

I’m always sharing pics of my nail color combinations, so it’s obvious that I like having them painted. What isn’t as obvious is the fact that I always paint them myself. I just can’t bring myself to part with the money to have a manicure and honestly I’m rough on my nails so the color has to be redone every 5 or so days. So to keep my hands looking nice I started doing manicures myself. I learned very early on that a good base coat is key to a good at-home manicure. My favorite is the Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Base Coat. I find it helps smooth out the nail surface and seal my nails nicely for color. I also find that it makes it easier to remove color when I’m done because of the barrier between the nail and color that it creates.

You can get Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Base Coat for $7.99 at ulta.com.

Wandering Target is always a dangerous proposition for me, as I never leave with just the thing(s) I went in for. One wandering day I found the Sonia Kashuk Eye Definer. And what a great purchase it was. It creates the perfect line every time, as thin or as thick as you desire. It can take me from daytime classic to evening smokey with just a couple swipes and best of all it doesn’t smudge; even after a killer workout my makeup is entirely intact. And you can’t beat the price!

You can buy Sonia Kashuk Eye Definer for $6 at target.com.

Vaseline-Petroleum-Jelly.jpg

You know those products that are probably sitting around your house—or maybe your parents’ house—without you giving any thought to them in years? Well, maybe it’s time to take a second look, especially when it comes to Vaseline Petroleum Jelly.

I recently picked up a tube of this that was laying around my mom’s house, and I have to say, I was totally amazed at how many beauty-related things it could do. The two that really spoke to me, though, are these:

1) It works as a fantastic lip balm! It softens and smooths even the most chapped lips instantly.

2) It moisturizes dry knees and elbows! Mine tend to be super ashy and scaly, but with a couple days of rubbing Vaseline on them? Like a baby’s bottom.

And the best part? It’s under $5! What could be better?

Vaseline Petroleum Jelly retails for $3.09 at diapers.com.
