CLEAN-Anti-Bacterial-Moisturizing-Hand-Cream.jpgOur biggest problem in the winter — aside from how unbelievably COLD it is? The fact that our hands just never seem to be hydrated enough. Luckily, thanks to CLEAN Anti-Bacterial Moisturizing Hand Cream, that just isn’t a concern anymore.

Our favorite aspect of this lotion? It’s anti-bacterial! It’s formulated with SafetyDerm technology that fights pesky germs for up to a whopping four hours. Pretty cool, right?

Plus, it contains tons of good-for-the-skin ingredients like Vitamin E, avocado, jojoba and grapeseed oils — which, thankfully, work to keep skin nourished, moisturized and conditioned beyond belief. We also love the fact that it’s unscented, so it doesn’t compete with our perfumes or fragranced body washes. In a nutshell, this is the perfect winter lotion!

CLEAN Anti-Bacterial Moisturizing Hand Cream retails for $10 at sephora.com.

We’ve fallen madly, deeply, head over heels in love. We just don’t see any return from such a passionate love affair as we’re currently in the midst of with M.A.C False Lashes.

It curls. It lengthens. It thickens. It volumizes. Seriously, we don’t think there’s anything this brand-new mascara from M.A.C doesn’t do. In just one coat, our lashes were so long and luscious, we’re fairly certain they could be seen from outer space.

The “double-lush brush,” as M.A.C refers to the super-thick twisty mascara brush, is the reason behind such an unbelievably thick fringe … and, yes, it really does make you look like you’re wearing falsies!

Now that we’ve gone false, we just don’t think we’ll ever go back.

M.A.C False Lashes retails for $18 at maccosmetics.com and nordstrom.com

Last night, A-listers gathered at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles for the 2011 People’s Choice Awards. From the looks of many starlets we love (and love to hate), spring is just around the corner. Above all, chanteuses Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, along with reality buxom beauty Kim Kardashian, were shining bright (or in Kim’s case, brilliantly understated) with bold lip choices.

In her usual fashion, Taylor Swift was rocking her signature garnet pout. Our favorite look, however, goes to Mrs. Russell Brand. Though her bright fuchsia pink lips are not an easy look to pull off, she did it beautifully. Whether it’s the combination of her skin tone and hair color, or her perfectly balanced full, but not overdone, eyes, she looks like a dream.

Though Kim opted for a complete lack of color, her perfectly nude mouth still made a loud statement. Soft pink cheeks and insane lashes balanced her skin-toned pucker, leaving her looking sleek, polished, and girly.

As always, Taylor didn’t disappoint with her gorgeous winged black eyeliner and meticulously lined and applied scarlet lipstick. (Check out more red-lipped beauties, and get tips for how to get the perfect red lip here.)

Who was your favorite beauty at the People’s Choice Awards? Chime in!

Mario-Badescu-Cucumber-Cleansing-Lotion.jpgChalk this up to genius inventions we wish we had come up with. We’ve slathered creams and gels all over our faces, we’ve sprinkled, sprayed and otherwise spritzed. Mario Badescu Cucumber Cleansing Lotion is one of the most brilliant products we’ve come across in all our years of playing with beauty products.

This genius bottle contains a remarkably bright green formula that, when applied to a cotton pad and swiped across the face, turns CLEAR. The watery consistency is cooling, refreshing and unbelievably moisturizing.

You’ve heard the phrase “cool as a cucumber?” Badescu’s cleansing astringent most certainly delivers on that theory. It disinfects the skin while removing residue, oil and bacteria from the surface, therefore preventing future breakouts. And did we mention how cooling it is? (We just can’t get over it!)

Simply pour some onto a cotton pad, wipe in circular motions across your face, and watch as the magic happens. You’ll be amazed at the veritable difference in your skin within just a few uses.

Mario Badescu Cucumber Cleansing Lotion retails for $15-$45 at mariobadescu.com and nordstrom.com.

We love mineral makeup, and above all, we love bareMinerals mineral makeup. Since their prime, their starter kits have been all over Ulta and Sephora. They are great, because they give you everything you need to, well, start.

That kit hovered around the $60 mark, which was always a little steep (but well worth it). Well, just recently, bareMinerals reached out to the skeptical first-time shopper and released the Try. Believe. Love. kit for an incredible $20!

Though all the products are smaller, and it doesn’t come with their amazing kabuki brush (that’s what creates that airbrushed look), it does come with the following: Original and Matte SPF 15 foundation, Mineral Veil finishing powder, SPF 20 concealer, mini full flawless face brush and mini concealer brush. The $60 kit comes with two shades of foundation, the extra brush, and what they call “warmth” which is a transparent, bronzer-like powder.

Overall, we think the Try. Believe. Love. kit is a fantastic pre-starter for the beauty maven who is interested in diving into mineral makeup, but wants to dip her toes in first. $20, sephora.com
