Now that Spring 2012 Fashion Week has come to a close, of course it’s time for us to do a roundup of our favorite beauty trends! And while we’ve still got some time until we really see these trends coming at us full force—we’re just heading into fall, after all—we’re definitely excited about what’s in store.

Red Lips
While we typically think of red lips as something for fall, we were definitely excited to see this emerging as a strong trend for spring. Designers including Anna Sui and Jason Wu showed super dark crimson pouts with their collections.

Low Ponytails
When temperatures heat up, our hair goes up. It’s as simple as that. But we’re loving the lower ponytail shown on the runway by multiple designers, including Derek Lam and Reed Krakoff.

At a recent event for the CW network, Jessica Stroup, Rachel Bilson and Nina Dobrev (pictured above left to right) all showed up with similar eye makeup. Each girl wore bronze tones in their crease that accentuated their beautiful eyes. This is a statement best left to the lower lid or crease and should be paired with lighter neutral tan or cream shadows surrounding the crease and brow to offset the richer color.
