Blow-The-Perfect-Shower-Cap.jpgWe have a confession to make. We hate washing our hair. It’s such a process and takes such a long time to get the perfect blowout that once we achieve it, the last thing we want to do is start the process all over the very next day! So when we discovered the Blow The Perfect Shower Cap, we were in heaven.

This oversized shower cap keeps every hair on your head completely and perfectly dry. This is thanks to the soft terry lining that seals out moisture and ensures there’s absolutely no frizz. It even comes in its own little carrying case that’s perfect for traveling!

And did we mention how cute the shower cap is? The white plastic-like exterior is imprinted allover with Blow’s logo in bright, shocking pink. It really jazzes up your shower!

There’s a new makeup trend out there that we just have to tell you about. Matching your lips and tips. It’s not the first time this has happened in makeup history, but it IS the first time we’ve seen beauty brands creating collections specifically around the idea! Both M.A.C and butter LONDON have created lip and nail products specifically designed to be worn together in matching shades.

MAC-Fashion-Sets.jpgIn M.A.C’s case, the collection is called Fashion Sets. The collection includes 16 different 3-piece lip and nail color sets inspired by the brand’s most popular shades around the world (North America, Asia Pacific, Europe & Africa, and Latin America & Middle East all have different collections to choose from):

Myth (light neutral nude)
Rebel (midtonal cream plum)
Russian Red (vivid intense bluish red)
Snob (light neutral pink)
Saint Germain (light cool pink)
Morange (bright cream orange)
Impassioned (bright warm pink)
Ravishing (midtonal neutral peach)
Spice (midtone neutral nude)
Girl About Town (bright blue fuchsia)
Chestnut (rich chocolate brown)
Peachstock (light peachy nude)
Razzledazzler (light cream peach)
Angel (light warm pink)
Please Me (mid-tone warm pink)
Pink Nouveau (mid-tonal cool pink)

Each of the 3-piece collections includes a nail polish, lipstick and lipgloss, which can be purchased separately or, as is the point, together.

butter-LONDON-Lippy.jpgbutter LONDON’s new lipgloss, Lippy, comes in 5 gorgeous colors that are already found in the nail polish collection:

Primrose Hill Picnic (fuchsia)
Snog (hot pink)
Teddy Girl (bubblegum pink)
Trout Pout (cantaloupe)
Yummy Mummy (medium beige)

All five colors are highly pigmented and match their corresponding polishes perfectly!

You wouldn’t believe how difficult it can be to find a good blonde eyebrow pencil. Often there is only one blonde shade and it’s often still too dark, or sometimes even too light. But Laura Mercier’s Eyebrow Pencil comes in five shades, including fair blonde, soft brunette, warm brunette and brunette; with two blonde shades I knew I had found my match. It’s also super easy to apply with its standard pencil point tip and I find it defines my eyebrows perfectly.

rembrandt-strips.jpgI’ll admit it: I love my morning coffee and the occasional evening glass of red wine. What I don’t love, though, are the stains they can leave behind. Accordingly, I’m no stranger to tooth whitening products. Over the years, I’ve tried laser whitening at the dentist’s office as well as many over-the-counter whitening systems and daily whitening toothpastes — all with varying degrees of success.

When asked to test out the new REMBRANDT® INTENSE STAIN® Stain Dissolving Strips ($22.99), I was more than willing as it has been at least six months since I’ve used any whitening product other than toothpaste. According to the packaging, these strips whiten tough stains in just minutes a day in 2 weeks. What sets this apart from other whitening systems is that they dissolve in your mouth in just 5 to 10 minutes, unlike other systems that require 30 to 60 minutes per treatment.

The box comes with 56 teeth whitening strips to use on both top and bottom, which gives you enough strips to use twice a day for 2 weeks. The strips are super easy to apply and they adhere to teeth instantly. Since you don’t want to run your tongue over the strip, I prefer to cut about 1/3 off of each strip lengthwise so there isn’t too much excess on the inside of my mouth.

As promised the strips begin to dissolve almost immediately, releasing a pleasant minty fresh feeling. By 10 minutes, the whole strip is gone. Because they dissolve, they’re perfect for on-the-go treatments: on the way out the door in the morning, or right before bed.

Now for the big question: do they work? After 2 weeks of twice daily use, my teeth were noticeably brighter and the process couldn’t have been easier. Success!

Best-Primers-Image.jpgA necessity in our makeup routine? Primer. Whether for eyes or face, it’s not a step we skip in the morning. Over the years, we’ve tried a lot of primers, but these five are our absolute favorites. We’re betting they’ll be yours, too.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer - Radiance
Wait a minute. Primer that both makes skin soft and perfect for applying makeup, but makes it glow, therefore rendering serum and moisturizer almost useless? This one does the trick.

What a sweetly scented primer this one is. It seriously smells so good, we find ourselves wanting to apply it multiple times a day just so we can smell it again and again!
