emmy-rossum-06202012.jpg
The trick to Emmy Rossum’s beautiful Critic’s Choice Awards hair was in the twist. To copy this style start with wet hair and apply a texturizing spray or cream, like Davines Defining Texturizer. Begin by separating hair into a deep side part and then dry your hair with a dryer. As hair gets more dry, give it volume by breaking it into large sections and drying with a large, round brush. Now that hair is dry you’ll need to break your hair into three sections and, pulling them to one side dramatically, twist them loosely. Once you have three distinct twists you’ll braid them into each other like a standard braid. Make sure you don’t pull the braid too tight, as this look is about being slightly messy. Once half your head of hair is complete, secure it in place with a rubber band. Apply a beachy styling spritz or something like Davines Momo Moisturizing Anti Aging Daily Cream to give ends a bit of oomph and to add mess to the style.
Emma-Stone-Jennifer-Behr-Headband.jpgWe’re fairly certain Emma Stone can do no wrong on the red carpet. She just keeps knocking it out of the park! And she hit yet another home run at the premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man in Moscow over the weekend, thanks to this gorgeous headband by cult favorite Jennifer Behr.

While Jennifer Behr headbands aren’t cheap—this one retails for $298—they are exquisite. The Delicate Laurel Leaf Bandeau, seen on Emma here, is crafted of gold-tone metal that’s hand-soldered into tiny leaves, creating an ancient Grecian halo effect.

If you can’t stomach spending $300 on a headband, though, here are a few inspired options that won’t break the bank!

spubble-gum-pink-nail-polish2.jpg
I am a huge fan of nail polish layering to make your own look, as evidenced by this post. And this week I made up what I call Spubble Gum Pink, using Essie Tennis Corset and Essie Forget Me Nots! The Spubble Gum Pink name comes from how perfectly bubblicious pink it is, mixed with the perfect dash sparkle. To create the color I did my usual base coat, followed by one even coat of Forget Me Nots — let that sit a couple minutes and then follow up with a coat of Tennis Corset to add the shimmery sheen. Lastly, don’t forget your top coat to seal it all in!

You can get Essie Forget Me Nots and Essie Tennis Corset nail polishes for $8 each at nordstrom.com.
Gillette-Venus-And-Olay-Razor.jpgWe’re always on the lookout for the next best thing in razors. Even while we’re getting the closest shave imaginable with our current razor, we’re wondering if there’s something better out there. And, with the introduction of the Gillette Venus and Olay Razor to the market, there most certainly is.

The signature 5 blades of Gillette Venus razors combine with Olay moisture bars to give you the softest, smoothest shave imaginable. No shaving cream necessary with this baby—it moistens and conditions the skin while you’re shaving so there are no nicks or drags.

Plus, when you buy the razor, it comes with one cartridge that lasts for at least 6 shaves (though we’ve found we can make it last past 10). It even comes with a shower hook so you can conveniently store it in your shower—though we’ve found that usually the suction cups with these don’t tend to stick too well once the shower wall gets wet.

The Gillette Venus and Olay Razor retails for $8.99 at pgestore.com.
