I honestly can’t believe I’ve never written about the fabulousness of the Tocca Cleopatra Candelina. This is one of my all-time favorite beauty items and has been for years—it’s just a shame I’m only sharing it with you now.

Truth be told, I love every single Tocca scent. But none of them can hold a candle (pardon the pun) to Cleopatra. In any case, this candle smells absolutely divine. A blend of cucumber and grapefruit notes makes it sound horrible, but trust me—it’s anything but. This candle is light, crisp, fresh and just a touch zesty, and I can’t help but smile every time I light it.

Plus, it’s presented in elegant cut glass and burns for around 30 hours. THIRTY! And it’s a travel candle! I just think that’s miraculous.

After the beating the East Coast has taken over the past few days from Hurricane Sandy, we’ll take any sort of sunny inspiration we can get. Enter the Kukui Passion Fruit Citrus Travel Tin Candle.

The scent is light, crisp and fresh. It brings an ease and simplicity to the room when you burn it — you know it’s there, but it’s not overpowering.

This candle burns evenly and cleanly for up to hours, thanks to the fact that it’s crafted from coconut wax with an all-cotton wick. Plus, the tin is perfect for travel since it’s so adorably teensy! (Which we’ll definitely be taking advantage of once we’re actually able to leave New York again.)

I have a major candle addiction. Really. At any given point in time, you may find at least 30 strewn around my apartment. But, recently, only one has been lit—and that’s the Voluspa Santiago Huckleberry Candle.

Not only is the oversized cut glass jar absolutely gorgeous, but the scent inside is simply intoxicating. A blend of vanilla and crushed sugar cane accompany the aforementioned huckleberry, creating an aroma that wafts out of the jar and immediately draws you in. Even my mother, who’s not really a candle fan, said after smelling this candle during a recent trip to New York, “I think you’ve converted me!”

I’ve already burned it for at least 10 and the wax has barely gone down! And thank goodness, because I want this baby to last me well into the winter months.
